VW Tuner Oettinger has used the annual Wörthersee gathering to unveil their new upgrade package tailored for the Golf GTI and an even hotter Golf R.
The Oettinger aerodynamic package for Golf R consists of a front spoiler, adjustable front splitter, side skirts, rear diffuser, and roof-mounted spoiler with open racing flaps. The front spoiler and rear diffuser have been specifically developed for the Golf R, in order to emphasise the individual design of the Golf R over the GTI und GTD.
Under the hood, the engine has been boosted to massive 500 horsepower (372 kW) and 650 Nm (479 lb/ft). That has been achieved thanks to the complete rebuilt of the engine, which now has new forged pistons and steel connecting rods, as well as gearbox upgrades, strengthened DSG clutches, high-performance brakes, a complete exhaust upgrade, and a coilover suspension.
The Oettinger aerodynamic package for the MKVII GTI consist of front spoiler, front splitter, side skirts together with a quad tailpipe rear diffuser and boldly styled roof spoiler with open racing flaps that enhances the sporty lines of the car. The complete aerodynamic package also pairs to the performance version with 2.0 TDI technology, or the Golf GTD. Oettinger also offers upgrade kit that increses the power output up to 380 hp (283 kilowatts) over the standard 210 hp (156 kilowatts). New alloy wheels for both cars rounds up the package.
According to company all aerodynamic components are produced from high quality RIM to OEM standards and have been tried and tested in the wind tunnel under the most extreme conditions and they will be available exclusively from Volkswagen Accessories via the VW importers and VW dealers.
